Veterans Memorial Park
The park displaced a shanty town known as Beutel Row. The name was derived from the Beutel Canning Company located at the end of Jane St. Over the years the park was transformed from primarily wild land scattered with junk to becoming the counties largest park area extending from Midland St at the north to Lafayette Bridge on the south. Included at the end of the park's pictures are some photos from the River of Time festival held in the park in September of each year.
